The Royal Mee Udang & Crab Restaurant offers various types of prawns and crabs, from Tiger Prawns, Giant River Prawns, Nipah Crabs, King Crabs to Lobsters, all available for selection. Customers can choose the size of crabs or prawns before they are cooked. The menu is not limited to just a few choices; in fact, they can cook any combination of food according to the customer's taste. Mixing prawns with crabs and lobsters in one dish is also possible.
During my visit to this restaurant, the owner earnestly displayed the fresh seafood, including King Crabs taken out from the refrigerator in the kitchen. All the crabs and prawns here looked very fresh and large-sized. Before delving further into the prawns and crabs, this restaurant also offers many signature drinks inspired by local Malay dramas. Among them are drinks like "Nur Kasih" (Corn Ice Cream Soda), "Ombak Rindu" (Lychee Rose Bandung Soda Ice Cream), "Mr. Arrogant" (Ribena Sunquick Soda), and many more.
In addition to prawns and crabs, there are also options like fried rice, vegetables, and other à la carte dishes. For my own menu, I tried combining Mee Udang with Crab for a change. I chose Mee Udang because it's the signature dish here. It was quite a challenge to finish the plate as the portion was very generous. Like the other dishes, the prawns and crabs were very fresh and delicious. It felt really satisfying to eat prawns and crabs in one plate like this. However, the broth wasn't too thick, and its flavor was derived from the prawns and crabs.
Overall, the Royal Mee Udang & Crab Restaurant is indeed suitable for seafood lovers. I am very satisfied because the prawns and crabs served were delicious and fresh. Since seafood can be expensive, it's advisable to inquire about the prices before they cook because for four people, it can sometimes exceed 200 ringgit, depending on the chosen menu.
